The Brothers of Charity is a Religious Institute of Brothers founded in 1807 working in 25 countries with people wounded in their human faculties. VIEW OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF BROTHERS OF CHARITY  They opened in April 1998 the Day Center Pedro José Triest (CePeTri) in the northern poor outskirt of Lima.

This Center cares for special children with Mental Retardation, Down syndrome, Autism, etc. The objective of the Center is to develop as much as possible their autonomy and abilities so that they can reintegrate the society for a life as normal and as productive as possible. Without this center probably none of the clients would receive any professional help on a daily basis.

At present, 125 children attend the center. In the acceptation, priority is given to the neediest or rejected children by society or by other special schools. The personnel of 12 is competent: special teachers, psychologists.
